Choosing a Color Picker Mode

The Color Picker works on the HSB model (Hue, Saturation, Brightness) by default. When you have the dialog box open, you can either choose a color from the color spectrum or define it numerically by entering the values in the text boxes (Figure 2-26).

However, you are not restricted to working with the default HSB model. If you prefer another model, you can alter the display to suit your workflow. For instance, you can set it so that it works on the RGB color model or the Lab color model. The radio buttons to the left of the text fields define which model and how that model affects the behavior of the slider and the color field (Figures 2-27 and 2-28).
