You can change your paper size in the Page Setup dialog box. For details, see the earlier section on setting print options.

3. Each photo is arranged on its own page. To preview each page, click the Forward and Backward buttons.

It may take Album a few seconds to update the preview. Be patient, please.

4. After you have specified your settings to your satisfaction, click Continue.

When you click the Continue button, the Print dialog box appears (refer to Figure 14-4), and shows your current printer settings.

5. Click the Preferences button to specify settings specific to your particular printer, shown back in Figure 14-5. Click OK when you're done.

Don't forget that the options displayed in this dialog box are determined by your printer, not by Album. Consult your printer manual if you need assistance.

Printing a contact sheet

Album gives you the ability to print a contact sheet that shows thumbnails of each of your selected photos. You can print the sheet with captions, filenames, dates, and page numbers. Contact sheets are great because they give you a concise printed inventory of your entire catalog.

Here's how to print a contact sheet:

1. From the Photo Well, select one or more photos. Choose FileOPrint or click the Print button in the Shortcuts bar.

In the Print Selected Photos dialog box, shown in Figure 14-7, the left side of the dialog box shows the selected photo(s).

2. Under Layout, select Contact Sheet.

3. Type the number of columns you want in the Columns text box.

You also can click the up and down arrows to specify the number.

4. Select any of the following options:

• Captions: Select this option, and Album prints any captions that you have attached to the images.

• Filename: Select this option if you want Album to add filenames under the thumbnails.

• Date: Select this option if you want Album to print the date the photo was taken or imported.

5. Select the Show Page Numbers option to print page numbers at the bottom of each page.

This option is available only if your contact sheet is more than one page.
