Adding Notes to Photos

The Notes function in Album is great for identifying your photos and adding information related to the images. You can have up to 1,023 characters in a note. Or on the more practical side, you could enter information such as the lighting conditions or camera settings (that aren't part of the embedded metadata) you used to capture the image.

If you have images that represent unforgettable events, try adding a personal recollection or short story about the image in the form of a note.

To add a note to an image, follow these short steps:

1. Choose ViewOProperties to display the Properties pane.

You also can click the Show Properties button in the Options bar.

2. Select your desired image in the Photo Well.

3. Enter your text in the Notes text box in the Properties pane, as shown in Figure 6-4.

Unlike captions, you can only view your notes on-screen. You can't print them along with your images. You also can't include notes in your creations. However, like captions, you can search for your images based on keywords in your notes.
