Getting Photos from Adobe Photo Deluxe or Adobe ActiVeShare Albums

If you are a current, or most likely a former, PhotoDeluxe or Adobe ActiveShare user, Album can import images from those catalogs. I recommend consolidating your entire inventory of images into one program. Trying to remember which image resides where is just too tedious for even the most fastidious among us.

Follow these steps to import photos from Adobe PhotoDeluxe or ActiveShare:

1. Choose FileOGet PhotosOPhotoDeluxe Album or ActiveShare Album.

Either the Finding PhotoDeluxe Albums dialog box (shown in Figure 4-13) or the Finding ActiveShare Albums dialog box appears.

2. Choose which folders Album should search.

Leave the default folder to search for catalogs only in the folders associated with PhotoDeluxe or ActiveShare. Or click the Browse button to navigate to a particular folder.

3. Click the Search button.

When Album is done searching, any folders containing PhotoDeluxe or ActiveShare albums appear in the Search Results list. Click a folder to preview its contents.

4. Select a single or multiple PhotoDeluxe or ActiveShare album.

5. Click the Import Album button.

Album imports the PhotoDeluxe or ActiveShare catalogs, and the photos appear in the Photo Well.
