■ Choose File ^ Open (Ctrl+O) to display the Open dialog box. Double-click the \32 folder to open it and then click the bottles-before.tif file to select it. Click Open to open the file.
■ Choose Image ^ Mode ^ Grayscale. Click OK to remove the color from the image and turn it into a grayscale image where color can no longer be added.
After a quick look at the Histogram for this image, I decided not to experiment with the Brightness/ Contrast and Levels filters. Some preprocessing may improve the ability of the Find Edges filter to find
edges and get your desired effects. We look more carefully at this when we get to the Smart Blur technique.
