This works best if you use a photograph whose content is not cut off on the bottom and right edges of the image. If any aspect of the image is cut off on the bottom or right sides, you may have to make up the missing content.
1. Copy the entire photograph (choose Select I All and then Edit I Copy) and paste it into your mockup file (choose Edit I Paste).
2. Using the Move tool, move the photograph to the upper-left corner of the mockup file.
3. Click the Background layer in your Layers palette and fill the layer with whichever color you want to use for the solid part of the background. (Figure 4-4 shows my progress thus far.)
