► Note 118

If you're creating a spherical 3-D object, you don't have to first run the Spherize filter, as I did with some of the snowflakes on my Christmas balls. The 3D Transform filter puts the object on a sphere for you, and also enables you to turn it in three dimensions.

TRY IT To transform objects into three dimensions, first make sure the object you want to transform is on its own layer in your Photoshop document. In addition, it's a good idea to duplicate the layer by dragging its name over the New Layer button in the Layers palette, just in case you need to easily return to how it looked before applying the filter.
