Text created like this is also called point type because it's treated as a single line of text only. To create multiple lines of text that can be edited as a whole and turned into a selection, see the following tip, "Create and Modify Multiple Lines of Text."
TRY IT After your text has been turned into a selection—complete with dancing ants and all— you need to use the selection tools to edit or move it. To move the selection without affecting the image beneath it, use the Marquee tool. To move the contents of the layer within the selection, use the Move tool.
