Click the Only Web Colors check box in the lower-left corner to force all colors selected from this color picker to be within the web-safe palette.
Depending on which operating system you use, you may also have another choice of color pickers. For example, Mac users can choose to use the Apple Color Picker, which gives you the option of selecting colors either according to their hexadecimal values or from an easy-to-use slider of web-safe colors (see Figure 1-4).

To check which default color picker your program is set to use, do the following:
1. Choose Edit I Preferences I General.
2. Click the Color Picker drop-down arrow to identify your available options.
After identifying your options, you can change the color picker as needed. To invoke the color picker after making a change, click OK to return to the main window. Then, click on a color swatch in the foreground or background selector.
