Be sure to contact your service bureau for their accurate halftone screen settings before using this technique to change them. If your service bureau doesn't tell you to change them, you can leave the option Use Printer's Screens selected in the Halftone Screens dialog box.

TRY IT To accurately adjust the halftone screen options of a file, choose File I Print With Preview and select Show More Options at the bottom of the Print With Preview dialog box. Choose Output and click Screen to reveal the Halftone Screen dialog box.

• If you're outputting a grayscale image, use a screen Frequency (between 1 and 999.999) and specify the unit of measurement. Then, enter a screen Angle (between -180 and +180 degrees) according to your service bureau's settings.

• If you're outputting a full-color image, first select the ink color from the pop-up menu and then specify the screen Frequency (between 1 and 999.999), unit of measurement, and screen Angle (between -180 and +180 degrees) according to your service bureau's settings.
