The Clone Stamp is one of my favorite tools in Photoshop, simply because of how fun it is to work with. I've enjoyed using it to perform such tasks as removing ex-family members from photos and adding extra eyes/ears/nose/toes to annoying family members' faces. (In fact, to test this tip while also having a bit of fun, I recommend you try it on a photo of an old boyfriend or girlfriend.)
TRY IT But seriously, to duplicate part of an image with the Clone Stamp, you first need to make sure the image you want to edit is open in Photoshop and the active layer contains the part of the image you wish to copy. Click the Clone Stamp tool in the toolbox and select an appropriately sized brush for the job.
