Name Layers for Easy Recognition

When you look at the Layers palette for an image with unnamed layers, such as the one shown previously in Figure 6-2, it's often difficult to determine the contents of those layers. When the thumbnail icons are turned off, as they are in the following illustration, it's almost impossible to identify which layer you're looking for at any given time.
