If you first link a group of layers together (by clicking in the second box on each layer), you can paste a layer style onto all the linked layers in just two steps—right-click (Windows) or CTRL-click (Mac) and choose Copy Layer Style, then Paste Layer Style To Linked.

TRY IT To add a layer style to a layer, first make sure the Layers palette is visible in Photoshop (choose Window I Layers) and that you have a layered file open. Then, choose a layer whose content doesn't bleed across all four canvas edges, so you will be able to actually see the effect of the layer style.
