Create color samplers

1. Click the Indicates layer visibility button for the Large Parrot and Small Parrot 1 layers on the Layers palette, so that all layers in the image are visible.

2. Display the rulers in pixels (if they are not already displayed).

3. Click Window on the menu bar and select Info to display the Info palette (if it is not displayed).

4. Click the Color Sampler Tool on the toolbox.

TIP The Color Sampler Tool is located on the toolbox and may be hidden under the Eyedropper Tool.

5. Using Figure 14 as a guide, click the image in four locations.

6. Click the Info palette list arrow, then click Color Samplers to hide the color samplers.

7. Repeat Step 6 to display the color samplers.

8. Hide the rulers.

You sampled specific areas in the image, stored that color data on the Info palette, then hid the color samplers.
